The North Rim

By lostzj

WOW…I can’t even begin to post all the pictures from that trip.  The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is just unreal.  We only saw 3 people while we were there… No guard rails… No traffic…No tour buses…No paved roads. We started at the Toroweap Overlook and ran most of the Grand Canyon to the east.  It was a very long trip and you must have a good off road rig to make a trip like this.  I am talking about hundreds of miles of off pavement routes and trails with no gas stops or Star Bucks within 200 miles. But if you are into getting away from the real word and seeing just a ton of outstanding views this is the place to go for sure.  Just be sure you plan the trip with fuel, water, supplies because you will not find it out in this area.  Very remote but WELL WORTH the trip.  There is a great small campground right before the Toroweap Overlook and it also has great views to wake up to as well.  I am going to burn a disk for friends and family to get to see some of the hundreds of pictures I took while there.  Hope some of you might make it to this site.  I am already planning another trip there to take a few friends so drop me an email you have have an interest.  It will have to be after the snow this winter but a great trip to make in the spring.  We also took the time to drop into Bryce Canyon and the Zion National Park as well.  Man I think I need about 3 days of sleep to catch up on some rest.  But would I do it again?… Oh heck yea.  Later…Clint

You should be able to click on the pictures to get a full size view.  Let me know if you have problems and I will help out with this.
